Custom Silicone Mold Prototype Development

A prototype is the first article you use to prove the risky assumptions before you multiply quantity. For an RTV casting mold that is usually geometry, demold, piece weight or volume, logo and your actual casting material. For an HCR/HTV or LSR product, the first article follows that tooling path.
What to send
- CAD, photos or a sample
- What you will pour or what the finished part must do
- What must pass before production (size, peel, logo, function)
Path
DFM → CAD lock → master or tool → prototype build → you test → revisions if needed → written approval → production. Simple 3D + prototype is typically about 3-5 days when the job is simple. Do not treat that as an HCR/LSR promise.
What the sample must prove: prototype validation. Workflow article: prototype to production.
