Who this page is for

Procurement, product developers, and brand founders who need to see whether we can machine the master, mix the right Shore, and pack a tray — not a brochure of adjectives.

This page is not a product catalog. For gummy, chocolate, resin, candle, or soap trays, start on product pages. For quote steps, use services. For factory-direct vs storefront, use manufacturer.

Limitation: not every job stays on soft silicone tooling. High daily volume or metal-tight tolerances may need steel — we say so in DFM instead of forcing RTV.

Design

CAD, 3D modeling, reverse engineering, DFM

Files we take: STEP, STP, STL, IGES, PDF, photos, or a physical sample. No 3D file is normal on a first RFQ — we model after dimensions and the material you will cast.

  • CAD / 3D modeling — cavity volume, logo depth, draft, and tray span before metal is cut. Drawing deposit applies when we model from photos or a sample (~$50 when the job fits).
  • Reverse engineering — from a physical master or competitor tray you legally own. We measure and rebuild CAD; we do not copy a brand’s IP on a photo scrape.
  • DFM — Shore band, undercuts, fill/demold path, cavity count, food-contact vs craft. Confirmed after review, not in a generic email.

Photo still needed: CAD screenshot on a monitor, and a caliper shot of a sample being reverse-engineered. Send those and we drop them in this block.

Tooling

CNC, mold machining, prototype, multi-cavity

Masters are CNC-cut so the silicone tray matches the CAD you approved. Prototype first; production cavities after you pour your real material.

Prototype: typically 3–7 business days after CAD approval. Production lead time depends on volume and grade — confirmed after DFM. MOQ 20 per design.

Silicone

Platinum, tin-cure on request, Shore A, food-contact path

  • Platinum-cure — standard production trays. Vacuum degassing on production tooling so pinholes do not reprint on chocolate or resin logos.
  • Tin-cure — on request when the application fits. Not a substitute for platinum on food-contact jobs unless DFM says so.
  • Shore A 20–50 — matched to pour and demold. Deep undercuts often sit softer; production flats often sit firmer. See the Shore A guide.
  • Food-contact — material and test documentation may be available depending on the selected material and destination market. Not “FDA-approved factory.”

Production

Casting, vulcanization, demolding, trimming, inspection, packing

After CAD lock: mix and cast, cure/vulcanize, demold, trim flash, check cavities, bag for export. A test cast in your material happens before ship when the RFQ includes the pour.

Extra clips that would help: demold of a food tray (not only industrial parts), flash trimming close-up, and an oven/press wide shot with the part in the cavity. We skipped lobster/shrimp product videos — those are finished food shots, not mold manufacturing.

FAQ

Where are the molds made?
Production tooling is built at RUUIPON’s Dongguan production base. Commercial quotes and English RFQ handling use the Shenzhen Bao’an address on Contact. Do not treat the two as the same street.
Do you CNC the mold yourself?
Masters and metal tooling for the job are CNC-machined in-house at the Dongguan base. Cavity count, undercuts, and logo depth are locked in DFM before the machine runs.
What silicone systems do you run?
Platinum-cure is the standard for production trays. Tin-cure is available on request when the application fits. Shore A is quoted in the 20–50 band after we know the pour and demold.
Is food-grade automatic?
No. Food-contact material and test documentation may be available depending on the selected material and destination market. Craft resin, candle, and soap jobs should not be sold as FDA/LFGB by default.
What delays a job?
Missing cast material, no target piece weight, late CAD approval, geometry that needs extra draft, or a Shore change after sample. Revisions are quoted; they are not a free remix.
What is MOQ and prototype timing?
MOQ 20 per design. Working prototype is typically 3–7 business days after CAD approval. Production timing depends on cavity count and grade — confirmed after DFM.
