Candle brands outgrow catalog pillars the day the silhouette becomes the SKU. Hard plastic shells crack texture; steel is for factories pouring thousands of identical units. Soap batter sticks differently than wax - use the soap mold guide when the pour is CP or melt-and-pour. Melts alone: wax melt molds. Resin and chocolate Shore bands live in their own guides, not this wick brief.

Shore A by candle type
Soft silicone peels texture; too soft and tall pillars lean while the wax is warm. Pick a band for the worst pour you actually run.

Wick path, shrink & cool timing
Off-center wick pins lean. Oversized pins leave tunnels. Silicone shrink on the mold (~0.1% platinum typical) is small next to wax shrink - still compensate the master so finished height and diameter match the label.

- Cool before peel - warm walls tear texture and stretch soft Shore.

Texture depth & tall pillars
Deep woodgrain looks premium on the CAD render and fights demold on pour 40. Keep texture depth in a release-friendly band and add draft on vertical grooves.
