A custom silicone mold on this site is the cavity you pour into. Chocolate, pectin, epoxy, wax, soap, plaster, ice. Not a finished silicone spatula. Not a steel depositor plate. Not a next-day catalog tray from a US warehouse.
RUUIPON pours those RTV tools in Bao'an, Shenzhen, since 2018. Production MOQ is 20 pieces per design after the sample is approved. A prototype is usually 3-7 business days after CAD lock. Simple cavity CAD, when that scope applies, is about USD $50. DFM review is free.
Choose the mold route based on what you will cast, the geometry, the required quantity and the release method. Use our manufacturing overview to review supplier capabilities, or send your design for a project-specific mold assessment. Related guidance: What Is a Custom Silicone Mold?.

What a custom silicone mold is on this site
You buy a platinum RTV cavity (one-piece, two-part, plug, or a soft skin with a rigid jacket). We keep a resin production mother so a later recast copies the same pocket. That mother is not a "mother mold." A mother mold / support shell is the rigid jacket outside a thin skin. Mixing those nouns is how RFQs get quoted as the wrong object.
HTV process products and HTV/HCR compression molds are a separate RFQ from the same shop. High-volume LSR cold-runner part tools stay outside this page. If you are comparing routes, use RTV vs HTV instead of forcing every outline into a pour tray.
Which custom silicone mold matches the dump
The dump decides Shore, jacket, vents, and food-contact documents. Pick the tray that names your pour. A resin figurine and a pectin bear can share an outline and still need different tools.
Gummy / pectin
Piece weight and peel beat cavity count.

Chocolate
Gloss follows the master, not a spray.

Resin / epoxy
Demold path first. Then Shore.

Candle / wax
Seam and wick hole are the job.

Soap
Deep stamps stick if the letter islands are thin.

Ice
Logo cubes need a pull path, not a catalog overlay.

Baking
Heat and release are compound questions, not a catalog Shore.

Wax melts
Clamshell fit and cavity grams before artwork.

Figurines / sculpture
Split, plug, or jacket - named before pour.

Plaster / gypsum
Air traps show as pits. Vents beat more rubber.
Shop clips that match this page
Two channel shorts about the object on this hub: a custom tray built for one product, and a pass across the categories we quote. Candle, soap, ice, and mahjong clips sit on those product pages - not here.
Custom silicone molds built for your product
A custom tray on the bench, not a catalog SKU.
Custom silicone molds across categories
Short overview of the mold types we quote - food, craft, candle, soap.
More shorts: RUUIPON on YouTube. The same brand posts also sit on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Concrete planters and large sculptures sit on their own hubs (concrete, sculptures). Food-contact paperwork is not a blanket on resin or candle work - start at food-grade molds only when the dump is food.
What we check before we quote
If you send this, we check first:
- overall size and cavity depth
- target piece weight or volume, if the SKU is sold by grams
- undercuts and the likely peel direction
- what you actually pour, including temperature
- first order quantity (production MOQ is 20 per design)
- face: gloss, matte, or texture
- destination market, if you need food-contact documents
A Pinterest still with no ruler is not enough. A STEP with no dump named is also not enough. Cost drivers live on custom mold cost. Low first lots live on low MOQ.

When you do not need a custom silicone mold
A stock ice sheet that already matches the cube is the correct buy. We would not recommend paying for CAD and a resin mother to reprint a tray you can order tonight.
We would not recommend this page for a molded silicone kitchen part, a high-volume LSR toy tool, or a steel gummy depositor plate. Those are different objects. Say so on the RFQ or send the part job as its own HTV quote.
How the job runs after CAD lock
Send photos, a sketch, or CAD. After CAD lock we typically 3D-print a pattern, often flip a temporary silicone tool from that print, cast a resin production mother, then pour batch RTV. The print is often a pattern, not the production mother. CNC masters and a direct pour-on-print stay valid when we name them.
Prototype: usually 3-7 business days after CAD lock. Production: MOQ 20 per design after you approve what the sample had to prove (size, peel, face, or fill). The steps sit on services.
Worked example: 12-up chocolate bar
Typical shop path, not a named customer. A brand sent a bar outline and a logo that was still moving. We charged the USD $50 design fee only to lock the logo into the cavity map, froze CAD, poured a prototype in the 3-7 day window after that lock, then released MOQ 20 after a tempered dump showed the face they wanted. We would not have quoted a 48-up tray on the open logo, and we would not have sold an LSR cell "for later scale" on the same PI.
FAQ
What are custom silicone molds at RUUIPON?
RTV cavities you pour chocolate, pectin, resin, wax, soap, plaster, or ice into. The shop path is photos, sketch, or CAD, then a 3D-printed pattern, often a temporary silicone flip, a resin production mother, then batch RTV. Production MOQ is 20 pieces per design after sample approval.
Do I need CAD, or can you work from photos?
Photos, a sketch, or a sample are enough to start DFM. Simple cavity CAD is about USD $50 when that scope applies. Send the clearest front, side, and detail views plus one known dimension. See the from-photos page if that is the whole job.
Is this the same as a molded silicone part or a steel tool?
No. A finished HTV/HCR part or compression mold is a separate RFQ on this site. High-volume LSR cold-runner part tools and steel depositor plates are outside what we quote here. The object on this page is the cavity you dump into.
What is MOQ and how long is a prototype?
Production starts at 20 pieces per design after you approve the sample. A prototype is usually 3-7 business days after CAD lock. Quote time is about 24 hours on a complete RFQ.
