Latex gloves inhibit platinum RTV. The glove rubber and often the powder leave a film on the master, the flask, and the mixing stick that keeps the cavity face tacky while the jacket back snaps. Nitrile is the default on a platinum bench. Vinyl is a maybe until you slug it. We would not "just wash the master" after a latex handling session and pour a food logo the same hour. This is a handling poison, not an SLA oligomer story and not a sulfur-clay story — those get their own pages. If your packing house used latex to wrap the print, tell us before we mix 1:1 or 10:1.

Does not apply when the mix is tin-cure craft (latex is still a dirty habit, but condensation-cure is a different poison list), when the whole cup stayed soft from ratio, or when you meant medical latex as a *dump* (we are not making a device). We would not write a lab number to "clear" a latex-handled food well.
Where latex actually sits
On the master. Fingerprints in undercuts, powder in serifs. Vacuum then lifts powder into the face.
On the flask and keys. A tacky land against the box wall.
On the stick and scale pan. You inoculate every subsequent cup.
On a "clean" rag that wiped the print after latex hands.
Powder-free latex is still latex. The polymer is the inhibitor family; powder makes it worse and more visible.
The photo that would prove a latex spec: nitrile box in frame, latex box in the trash, slug puck, raking light on fingerprints. A gloved lifestyle shot that happens to be beige latex is the failure.

Confirm vs SLA vs sulfur vs winter
Latex pattern: tack maps to fingerprints and powder; control puck on PP is fine; kit was in band.
SLA oligomer: tack maps to shadowed wells and print texture.
Sulfur clay: tack maps to the sculpted face, not to finger pads.
Winter: whole slug including control is sluggish; thermometers tell you.
Do not stack guesses. Slug, then pick the page.
ISO 3302-1 M2 is a rubber class, not a glove spec. CAD lock includes "who touched this, in what glove."
Inbound masters from 3PLs are the usual surprise. A sculptor in nitrile ships a sealed SLA; a fulfillment center re-bags it with latex and a powdered sheet. Our receiving note asks for glove polymer. If nobody answers, we treat it as unknown and slug before the production cup. That slug is not billed as a personality test — it is how we keep a food well off a tacky face.
Skin-safe claims on a *dump* (a mask, a prop appliance) are not this page. Latex-free as a *costume* spec is a buyer document. Latex-free as a *bench glove* spec is ours. Do not mash them. We will not invent an ISO 10993 file because someone wore nitrile.
A tooling charge still does not mean unrestricted ownership of the master we recleaned. Write who stores it so the next inbound does not go back through latex.
Food path: a latex-handled well that failed is recast from a master handled in nitrile. Wash is not a cert. Keep latex boxes off the food tote entirely so a night shift cannot 'just grab a pair.' The same split we ask for food vs soap rags applies to glove dispensers.
Failure: packing peanuts and beige gloves
Symptom: buyer-sealed SLA, our slug tacky in fingerprints, control fine.
Cause: packing crew wore latex; powder in the letter counters.
Fix: clean, nitrile from here, slug again. If type will not quiet, $50 remodel. Do not pour "a little extra catalyst." Platinum is not a tin you can starve or flood that way on a food well.

Worked example: beige gloves on a chocolate bar print
SLA bar, 180 mm, packed by a 3PL in latex. First 20 g tacky in pad marks. Nitrile clean, second slug passed on a hidden land that matched the face, platinum 1:1 tray. Prototype 3–7 business days after CAD lock. No $50 CAD. Production MOQ 20 of that design. 3PL got a nitrile note on the next inbound.
Mix-up: any "rubber glove" is fine
Nitrile ≠ latex ≠ vinyl. A black nitrile cuff still needs to be nitrile, not a rebranded latex 'exam glove' from a mixed box. Read the dispenser.
