Silicone molds for gelatin gummies: early demold without stretch

Gelatin gummies are not pectin gummies. Gelatin is usually less sticky, so a 20A-30A tray that tears a pectin mascot may peel gelatin clean - and the same tray will still sag 0.5-1.5 mm at the edge if you skip the jacket, so outer-row 4 g pieces run 3-6% heavy. The gelatin-specific fail is early demold: a piece that looks set on the bench stretches or prints condensation if you peel too soon or store the tray cold and wet. Don't copy a pectin Shore-and-jacket spec onto gelatin without a formula test. RUUIPON pours platinum RTV gelatin trays in Bao'an since 2018: resin master to RTV casting mold. Prototype in 3-7 business days after CAD lock. MOQ 20 pcs/design. 21 CFR 177.2600 is extraction of the article, not an FDA-approved factory. Pectin: pectin gummy molds. Hub: gummy molds.

Grams still beat a pretty bear

Send target piece weight, gelatin bloom/formula notes if you have them, finished dimensions, logo, cavity count, tray size, fill method (hand, flood-and-scrape, or depositor pitch from a *drawing*), and market. A visual "looks like 4 grams" cavity is how outer-row pieces miss the pack weight.

Logo islands still need draft. Hairline serifs belong in print - logo molds.

Condensation and cold trays

A tray pulled from a cold room can wet the cavity face. Gelatin sticks to that film and tears a thin ear. Dry the face; don't raise Shore A to "fight moisture." Tin-cure is the wrong food start.

When this gelatin advice does not apply

Pectin SKUs belong on the pectin page. Vitamin/CBD grams-as-CTQ pages are separate. Steel high-volume tools → an HTV product RFQ here. A one-cavity kitchen dump can skip a production jacket. Geometry can override quantity: a negative-draft ear still needs a fillet at 80 dumps.

If you only have photos, custom 3D modeling is USD $50 when that scope applies.

Gelatin RFQ to copy

  • Process: platinum RTV food-contact tray
  • Target grams (e.g. 4.0 g); gelatin (not pectin)
  • Fill method; depositor drawing if any
  • Jacket / pan: yes/no
  • Market; 177.2600 / LFGB
  • Custom 3D modeling: USD $50 when that scope applies
  • Prototype with real gelatin, then MOQ 20 pcs/design
  • Acceptance: weigh every pocket; no stretch on agreed demold time

Send grams, gelatin notes, and tray size to contact ([email protected] / +86 135 3006 2969). Licheng Technology Industry Park, Xinhe Blvd, Shajing, Baoan.

Matched CTA: Send gelatin target grams and demold time for a jacket-and-Shore review - not a pectin spec pasted over, and not a generic free quote.

We would not recommend copying a pectin tray onto gelatin without a dump test

We would not recommend raising Shore A to hide a wet, cold cavity. We would not skip outer-row weights. We would not call 177.2600 a factory approval. We would not paste LIM math onto a gelatin slab.

RUUIPON Mold Structure Decision: open-back if draft peels. Loaded tray? mother mold. Early-demold stretch? wait or change wall - extra cavities don't set gelatin faster.

  1. CAD grams frozen? - no -> 1-2 cavity prototype
  2. CAD grams frozen? - yes -> Jacket keeps sheet flat?
  3. Jacket keeps sheet flat? - no -> Mother mold / board
  4. Jacket keeps sheet flat? - yes -> Weigh every pocket at agreed demold
  5. Weigh every pocket at agreed demold -> Pieces stretch or outer-row 3-6% off?
  6. Pieces stretch or outer-row 3-6% off? - yes -> Mother mold / board
  7. Pieces stretch or outer-row 3-6% off? - no -> Lock Shore and recast master

FAQ

Is gelatin easier to demold than pectin? Often less sticky, yes. Early peel still distorts. Test your formula; don't assume.

Why did outer-row pieces weigh more? The sheet sagged. Add a jacket. Same physics as pectin.

Is this an FDA-approved factory? No. 21 CFR 177.2600 is extraction of the finished article.

Can I use the same tray for pectin later? Maybe, if Shore, jacket, and peel survive the stickier dump. Prototype; don't assume.

Do I need a prototype before MOQ 20? For a new gelatin shape, yes. 3-7 business days after CAD lock.
