RTV mix air is a shop SOP: ventilation, nitrile, a respirator your EHS names. Not a non-toxic claim. Tin odor is leftover. Typical shop. MOQ 20, $50 CAD.

Mixing platinum or tin RTV is a chemistry step in a room with air you control. We will not market a mold as "non-toxic so you can skip ventilation." Your EHS names the respirator, the gloves, and the capture. We name the grade, 1:1 or 10:1 by weight, vacuum, and — for food — platinum plus a document pack. Tin condensation leftover has an odor conversation of its own. Solvents you use to clean cups are often the bigger air load than the rubber. This page is procurement language for a shop SOP, not a product safety PDF and not a medical claim.

Does not apply when you are only dumping chocolate into a finished, washed tray — that is food handling, not mix-day air. It also does not apply to a consumer "is silicone safe" blog. We would not write PPE as a substitute for 21 CFR 177.2600.
What we will put on a traveler, what we will not print on a carton
Traveler: grade name, mix ratio, vacuum, food vs craft, "nitrile on mix day, no latex." Carton: not "VOC-free, no respirator needed." SDS from the gum supplier is their document. We can forward a pack we actually used. We will not invent an SGS number or a UL file.
Vacuum pumps exhaust oil mist if they are wet pumps. That is shop air too. Park the pump where people do not eat. Degassing a cup is not an excuse to skip a lid on the pot.

The photo that would prove a shop SOP: mix bench, capture, SDS binder, nitrile box, no food on the bench. A smiling factory-gate shot proves nothing.
ISO 3302-1 M2 is a dump class. It is not an exposure limit. CAD lock does not include your respirator model.
Food cabinets stay off resin and lye. That split is hygiene and allergen SOP as much as air.

Failure: "the mold is toxic" after a tin pour in a closed room
Symptom: buyer complains of smell, blames platinum food tray, or skipped SDS.
Cause: tin leftover; solvent clean; vacuum pump mist; new-mold volatiles on an unwashed cavity.
Confirm: which chemistry actually poured; wash and post-cure records; SDS.
Fix: platinum food path, wash, bake if the PO names it. Do not "air out" a tin chocolate tray and call it food. Recast.
We would not recommend mixing 10:1 in a bedroom for a Kickstarter. MOQ 20 is still a factory PO, not a kitchen.

Claims we would not print
We would not recommend "non-toxic RTV, no ventilation."
We would not recommend latex gloves on a platinum food pour.
We would not recommend eating on the mix bench.
We would not recommend calling RUUIPON an FDA-approved factory.
A tooling charge is not a license to skip SDS.
Worked example: craft tin in a closet, then a food RFQ
Buyer poured tin figurines in a closet, then asked us to match that Shore in food platinum for chocolate. We refused tin for chocolate, quoted platinum, noted mix-day nitrile and vacuum here. Your importer may ask for SDS + food pack together. They are different objects. SDS is mix-day. 177.2600 is the article. Send both if both were asked, do not staple one as the other.
Solvent to strip a cup is often acetone or similar — your EHS owns that too. Dedicated cups cut solvent load. Heel waste is mixed rubber; do not chase it with solvent into a food flask.
Vacuum pump exhaust is shop air too
Oil-mist pumps sitting next to a lunch fridge is how a food plant fails an internal walk. Park the pump, lid the pot, and do not treat degas foam as a "fume we have to breathe to know it is working." Foam is air leaving the rubber. Watch it through the lid.
Platinum inhibition from latex is a quality failure that also happens to be a glove choice. Nitrile on mix day is both PPE-adjacent and a cure SOP. Write it once on the traveler.
We would not run a "non-toxic workshop class" as a sales event on this site. Buyers who want a kit class are not this RFQ. Buyers who want 20 trays with a named grade are. If your city requires a particular filter cartridge, that is local EHS, not a Shore A note. Loaded sag and jackets still matter; a respirator does not flatten a tray.
If you mix at your bench, send photos of capture only if you want process help — we are not your industrial hygienist. We will still refuse tin under chocolate and still ask for CAD lock. Mix-up: food-grade means you can mix it in the kitchen
Food-contact is the cured article after a named path. Mix-day is still chemistry. The other mix-up is a respirator as a substitute for vacuum. You can wear a mask and still pour craters.
