We Will Not Copy a Competitor Gummy in RTV | RUUIPON

A photo of someone else's gummy, bear, or logo is not a drawing we can pour. If you do not own the art, we will not copy it in platinum RTV. Send original vectors or STEP, a written license, or ask for USD $50 CAD when that scope applies to *your* design. We will not scan a bag of branded candy and call it your SKU. Lookalike geometry that still wears their face is still their face. Tooling charge is not a license.

RUUIPON pours gummy trays in Bao'an, Xinhe Blvd, Shajing, since 2018. Platinum 1:1 or 10:1 by weight. Prototype is 3–7 business days after CAD lock of *your* cavity. Production is MOQ 20 pieces per design. Platinum shrink after a full cure is typically about 0.1–0.3%. Depositor pitch and live gummy product URLs stay on those pages — this is the IP gate. Does not apply when you already own the brand and can prove it, when the shape is a generic cube/sphere with your logo, or when the dump is unbranded craft resin. It also does not apply to a WYD depositor tray RFQ that already has your art. Food still wants platinum, not tin.

What we will model, what we will refuse

We will take your bear, your mascot, your wordmark, with millimetres and a fill weight. We will not take a supermarket bag photo and reverse the competitor's undercut. "Make it 10% different" is not a legal theory we practice on this bench. If your counsel has a path, they write it; we still need files in your name.

Scan noise on a real candy is a cousin of photo-scan vs CAD. Even a licensed scan often wants $50 CAD cleanup before a food well is pour-ready. Stair-steps and bite marks from the bag become cavities.

The photo that would prove a clean RFQ: your vector, a millimetre scale, your PO letterhead. A bag-on-table photo of another brand is the anti-photo.

ISO 3302-1 M2 is a dump class on *your* grams. It does not copy their grams. Outer-row heavies of about 3–6% vs center still want a jacket when the sheet sags about 0.5–1.5 mm.

mg per piece is formula, not cavity spec. We lock grams and volume. Their label is not your drawing.

Failure: you asked for "the same bear"

Symptom: RFQ is a phone photo of a branded bag; buyer wants "same mold, our logo on the back."

Cause: procurement treated a retail SKU as a master.

Confirm: no vector, no license, logo still theirs.

Fix: original art or we stop. We will not pour a "close enough" face.

CBD/THC gummies are tooling only. We do not write claims. We still need your art, not a competitor's edible.

We would not recommend scanning a competitor gummy as a master.

We would not recommend tin-cure on a food tray to make the copy cheaper.

A tooling charge is not unrestricted ownership of their brand, or of our CAD of *your* bear unless the PO says so.

Worked example: 12-up bear, bag photo, no vectors

US gummy brand, 12-up, photos of a famous bear, "put our name on the belly." We refused the face, offered $50 CAD for an original bear in their name, locked cavity grams, platinum 15A open-back with jacket. Prototype 3–7 business days after that CAD lock. Depositor pitch is still your plant number. Copying their tray OD to fit their competitor's line is a mechanical RFQ, not a license to copy the candy. Send pitch millimetres as *your* line.

Pitch, grams, and a lookalike still need a jacket

Even an original bear fails on a depositor if the sheet sags. Loaded-tray edge sag of about 0.5–1.5 mm puts outer-row gummies often 3–6% heavy vs center. Jacket the tray. Copying their OD without a jacket copies their sag too. We would not "match their fill" by deepening outer cavities as a secret CAD trick without you signing that the row weights may differ.

Private-label copackers sometimes send a competitor tray and ask us to recast the rubber. Recast of *your* worn tool is a different PO from reverse-engineering theirs. If you own the tool, say so and send the tray. If you do not, we stop. Food platinum, wash, 177.2600 / LFGB on this article remain. Tin is still off the food RFQ.

A Kickstarter deck with a competitor moodboard is not art. Moodboards brief a $50 CAD original. They do not authorize a scan of the moodboard candy.

If your copacker already runs their tray, changing art without changing pitch is still your RFQ, not a pirate recast. Send pitch millimetres, cavity grams, and vectors. We pour platinum; we do not harvest their steel.

Mix-up: public product means public mold

Retail on a shelf is not a CC0 master. The other mix-up is sending a 3D scan of their candy and calling it CAD lock. Scan noise is not a food well.

What to ask when you're buying original cavities

• Vectors or STEP in your name, or a written license?
• Grams per piece, not mg of a formula?
• Depositor pitch if it must match a line?
• Jacket on a loaded sheet?
• After CAD lock, 3–7 business days, then MOQ 20 / design?

Can you copy a competitor's gummy mold from a photo? No. We need your art or a license. $50 CAD for an original when that scope applies.

What if we only want the same size, different character? Size and pitch are numbers. Character is art. Send the character as yours.

Is a 3D scan of their candy OK if we change the logo? We would not treat that as a clean path. Model yours.

Do you register trademarks for us? No. We pour rubber. Counsel does marks.
